OK people, question time.

I got more fabric!

This was from Mrs Jane, jujjer extraordinaire. Sweet puppytooth cotton with embroidered daisies.

Smiley Carol brought a parcel from Missus Stash, this glorious technicolour swirl of fabric was included. I did note when ironing it where it came from but forgot to write it down and now ALL the fabric is living 'oop north' at Missus Monkey's house.

When I did the ballet run last Tuesday Miss Rose handed me a beautifully wrapped parcel. Inside were these two floral/organic beauties. As above the Royal Mail delivered these 'oop north' this morning and so the selvedge is being cut and rearranged into new and exciting shapes with which to make a quilt.

We are edging towards the final details of the quilt pattern. Details to follow.

Hmmm .. do you think there maybe some kind of colour theme going on here?

Two weeks into being 40 and I have to admit so far it has been a mixed response.

Loving the fact that just about every day for the last two weeks I have been given a present plus for the last week I have received something from Smiley Carol the post lady EVERY DAY! Really am loving this birthday thing. However ....

... 10 days ago I got a cold. Not just any cold but really hideous, mean and nasty cold. The first time in over 12 months I have been sick. Three sleeps before my party! Bah! However thanks to Mr. Medication and his assistant, the glamorous and edgy Miss Adrenaline I had a fabulous time being the dashing hostess at the party and didn't fall asleep once!

And what was even more lovelier still was that (much to CK's surprise) people bought fabric instead of gifts of a more traditional nature.

The spots and the floral are from Amy Butler's new line - 'Love' and are a gift from Karen while the army camo is 100% British Army Standard issue and was the flash of green worn by Stewart to the party. True officer and a gentleman that he is he gifted it to me as they departed into the foggy evening. Her Majesty should be proud of her forces ;-)

The Australian contingent is represented next with Baby Starburst from Rainbow Garden, Fresh by Deb Strain for Moda and Bubblegum basics by Barbara Jones for Henry Glass on the left hand side and Toadstool from the Alexander Henry Collection on the right.

The pears (Kyles Marketplace III by RJR Fabrics) are from Jane and Will. The spotty dots are on a better colour green background than shown but the lighting was abysmal for photos.
The fabric is a heavy furnishing weight cotton.

See all those gorgeous paper cutout people? These arrived from chez Moog and currently being coveted by several crafty mamas up here on the hill. As I type this piece of fabric is hiding from me but when I put my hands to it full details will be disclosed. And in the final quadrant it is just possible to make out THREE different fabrics but none have the selvedge. I think they are Kaffe Fassett (the pink ones)and Henry Alexander but I wouldn't swear to it.

The top L quadrant is some repro florals from Bella and Francie's mob. I think the depth of these will set off the other colours. And the other pictures are the collection of Georgina Von Etzdorf silks and fine linens from the Thriftley-Boos.
